Custom DNS, DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) & IPv6
Cellular carriers frequently intercept unencrypted DNS traffic, inject ads, or block domain names via transparent DNS proxies.

Why Override Carrier DNS?#
- Eliminate Carrier Tracking: Prevent mobile operators from logging your visited domain names.
- Bypass Censorship & CDN Throttling: Carrier DNS servers often return degraded CDN endpoints for video services.
- Faster Lookups: Public resolvers like Cloudflare and Quad9 deliver sub-10ms lookup times.
One-Click Provider Presets#
QManager includes pre-configured, tested DNS configurations:
- Cloudflare:
1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1/2606:4700:4700::1111 - Quad9 (Security & Malware Filter):
9.9.9.9,149.112.112.112 - Google Public DNS:
8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4 - AdGuard (Ad Blocking):
94.140.14.14,94.140.15.15
IPv6 DNS & Upstream Failover#
If your SIM card provisions an IPv6-only or dual-stack IPv4v6 PDP context, QManager binds IPv6 resolvers alongside IPv4 and configures dnsmasq fallback to ensure zero DNS resolution drops.
